15 James St - Site inspection

A quick duck into 15 James St this afternoon, to confirm an exterior floor tile chosen for the ground floor retail arcade.

I took the chance to race up to the upper levels and see how the black and white colour scheme turned out.

A cheap and easy design scheme which works every time. Black and white will never date....

Site inspection at QPF - looks fantastic!

Yesterday, I met with my clients (and friends) at QPF Finance Group to inspect their new building and office fitout.

I had not been since the week before Christmas so it was wonderful to see the changes and the finishing touches coming together.

The building exterior is mostly complete a few minor paint touch ups and we are there on the outside...

An absolute standout is the graphics - care of genius artist & illustrator Josh Rufford. The graphics are dotted around the tenancy and provide the space with a wonderful fun yet professional ambience. From the frosted privacy screens on the glass office walls, to the reception feature LED wall, to the wallpaper applied graphics, the effect is sensational.

The reception desk uses a grey & white base to highlight QPF's red corporate logo colours. The feature wall in the reception, which I initially described as a CSI inspired wall, is an acrylic panel which is covered both sides in frosted film for a shadow effect and then housed in an aluminium frame with LED strip lighting. It looks fabulous - interesting but still corporate. The red reception chairs will sit opposite the reception desk to inject another shot of red into the space. The mosaic tiles, a mixture of white carrara marble and glass look great to make a feature out of the otherwise awkward services column.

The privacy frosting for the office looks a treat... the use of numbers of varying shades & opacity really works in the space.

The wallpaper graphics provide the shot of colour & fun needed in the back office area.

Well done Josh & Sunset Signs for realising my vision and delivering a fantastic result for the client!
Looking forward to seeing your handy work in the completed boardroom.

Move in date has been set for the end of this month - I'll arrange to take some professional photos and upload to the project gallery as soon as possible.
