QPF Offices at Springwood taking shape

A site inspection was held earlier this week at QPF's new headquarters - a 3 level purpose built facility on Brisbane's Southside. Scaffolding is still on the exterior - concealing the exterior cladding system. QPF's corporate colours are red & grey, so I chose various shades of grey to set the tone on the exterior. The interior office space is a mixture of a softer grey and white - clean, corporate with a timeless & polished look. Artist Josh Rufford will work his wonders on the graphics front yet again, to spice up the interior and inject some needed colour & personality. The team at QPF are sensational - clients and friends.  I'll keep you posted!

Leo

15 James Street, F/Valley....Design Consultancy with Trapp Architects...

My design consultancy role working alongside Leon Trapp of Trapp Architects is almost complete. Trapp Architects (http://www.trapparchitects.com.au/) have done a wonderful job bringing this building back to life with some major building modifications and a fresh & modern makeover. My role was to chose the internal colours and materials of the ground floor retail arcade, lift wells and amenities areas as well as assistance with the exterior colours and feature / signage wall. I am very happy with our choice of paint colours on the exteriors... don't you agree? The dark charcoal base has really grounded the structure. This building and retail arcade will provide an integral connection between the new neighbouring multi-res developments and Brisbane's infamous James St. Can't wait to show this building off more as construction continues.

Lorna Jane consultancy....wow!

One week to go until presentation to Lorna Jane of their new proposed fitout template for their national 'Trademark' stores... I have been working hard on the concept design with LJ's retail development division - the brief is to come up with something fresh, new (but durable) and in keeping with the success of the active lifestyle / fitness brand. I feel very honoured to secure this design consultancy role... my first foray in designing for a large national brand. I'll report back once the concept has been developed...but for now, back to the drawing board...

Back Doctor, Southport

Very excited - just took a quick trip down to the Gold Coast with Dan McKillop of DMC Projects to inspect the new Back Doctor tenancy at Southport. A second project for Dr Mark Craig - I was lucky enough to design Dr Mark's Brisbane based rooms at Park Road, Milton earlier this year. The Gold Coast rooms are just shy of 100 sq m in total. I'll collect the design brief this week so watch this space as I receive more information and start the design process...
